Charonne Ruth

‘Wondrous glass sculptures whose colours float and frolic inside clear glass.’ Ken Saunders Gallery, Chicago. Charonne uniquely casts blown glass. She creates a 'moving painting' of colours, patterns and light inside glass. For Open Studios, she will launch a luxurious Silk scarf collection that reflects the flow and movement in her sculptures.

Directions: Once you enter Newton of Falkland, turn onto Holm Road behind the Malt Barn. Take the first left onto South Maltings (there will be a field on your left and back of distillery on the right). Turn right into the courtyard. Charonne is the middle property on the right.
Access: Studio is not easily accessible by wheelchair. Parking is available on Holm Road and across the street at the town hall.
Points of Interest: 11AM and 2PM Sat, Sun and Mon, Charonne will give a demo of how to make a child's hand casting. Lots of history in the courtyard. The Maltings was a working whisky distillery for 350 years, with a brewery and stables alongside it. Today it is a beautiful courtyard setting steeped in history.
